Family Visit

On Wednesday, our cousins Steve, Genny and Alex drove up to visit us in Vail. It was great to get a chance to see them again (it's been a year!), and the kids all had so much fun together. 

While we were waiting for them to arrive, I took a few pictures of my boys playing by the fountain.

First, we went up Vail Mountain on the gondola. While we were waiting to buy the tickets, Jackson shared his iPhone with Alex and Luke. 

Luke and Alex were so cute together! They clicked right away. He fell a little in love with her last summer (he referred to her as his "girlfriend" all year), and he couldn't wait to see her again.

It was a beautiful day! The views were gorgeous, and we had a great time just walking around enjoying the scenery. 

We noticed one of the chair lifts going full speed as we wandered by, so Jackson and Kate went over to talk to the operator.

Then all 3 boys tried to get a hand on it as it was flying by.

We got a few shots of all 4 of the kids, although it was a challenge getting everyone to look in the same direction and smile. 

Lukey loves blowing dandelions. He makes a wish and says it's all for his birthday. He has no idea when his birthday is, but that's irrelevant. LOL

Genny took this great picture of Tina, Kate, me and the boys. It was such a treat hanging out with them both, and seeing how much the boys love both of them. Plus, my defensive strategy went from Zone to Man-to-Man when they were with us. :)

Jackson and Alex were fast friends. He kept an eye on her (he picked up on Steve and Genny's use of "red light" to tell her when to she'd gone far enough ahead of them, and he started doing it, too.), and she followed him everywhere. 

Alex and Steve did a little exploring.

And she and Cody did a little wandering, too.

I snuck this shot of Tina and Lukey sharing a moment. They have such a special love, and it's wonderful to see. 

Jackson and Luke both did the bungee trampoline again, too. They love flying high!

Luke enjoyed a pony ride on a sweet girl named Jade.

On the way down the mountain, Alex and Lukey were much more comfortable on the gondola and watched out the window excitedly for the whole trip.

We ate dinner at a restaurant with a little playground close by, so the kiddos played on and off throughout. Still, Genny managed to get a shot of all 4 of them at the table at one time. :)

After dinner, the kids played in the creek a little bit, throwing rocks and splashing. By the time we got this picture, everyone was wet and tired and ready for bed! But we enjoyed our day so much and can't wait for the next visit. :)
