Haunted House Cookies

We got this kit at Michael's last week, and decided to give making a gingerbread Haunted House a try. The boys loved making one last Christmas, and we even did one at Easter, too. So I figured we could handle it.

WRONG.

The icing wouldn't stick, the cookies needed to be held together for an hour to dry (ha! you try telling a 4 and a 6 year-old to wait an hour), and Cody ate half the gumdrops before we even started. :)

So, we decided to just decorate the cookies. And we had so much fun!

Both boys made pumpkin patches (good thing I'd happened to pick up a bag of those mellowcreme pumpkins at Target the other day!), and Jacks made a monster bowling alley.

They were creative and giggling, and it was a great afternoon.

Below, the artistes with their masterpieces!

I've never seen better Halloween cookies!
They are fantastic, guys! And Cody, Your cool hairdo by Dad is pretty neat...I just hope you were admired by your teacher & classmates.
They must have thought you a new student to the class! You know, Grama doesn't even have to use mousse or gel or spray. Every morning I wake up & my hair is always spikey
& standing straight up...it's beautiful, I must say!!!HAH!!!
Well, I bet your cookies tasted so good because they sure looked tasty witth all those pumpkins on top.
