We had a beautiful sunny day so we decided to head to the Aboretum for Dallas Blooms. So many gorgeous flowers everywhere, including cool Texas-themed topiary (very poignant as this is our last spring as Texas residents).

Cody was not feeling especially cooperative for photos today, bringing to mind a favorite Calvin and Hobbes comic that I will have to scan in at some point...but anyway, imagine thinking you're about to get the perfect picture and then coming away with this:
Jacks was a super trooper and posed for no less than 1 million pictures...with wonderful results.

And Cody smiled every once in a while!

The boys enjoyed the Little Tikes Rodeo, where they got to run around with stick horses. Cody's was a little too big for him, and I was tempted to cite him for high-sticking, but luckily no one was injured. :)

Dad was able to get a shot of me with each of my sweet boys...our next challenge will be to get one of all 4 of us in the same picture!

Dad and I got some great shots of the older boys in the covered wagon. We only got Cody to sit still by promising that face painting was next!

Jacks and Cody enjoyed getting their faces painted the best, as by this time they were VERY tired of posing for pictures. They both chose to get a snake on each cheek and then tried to scare the birds away with their snakiness. Sssssssssssssss................

Luke did enjoy the Aboretum, I think, spending the first part of the visit watching people and flowers from the stroller, looking like this:
And then before too long, he looked like this:
It was really a fantastic day! And tomorrow...the search for Bluebonnets!!
