A Lone Star Christmas!

Gramma and Grandad surprised us with an early Christmas present...a night at the Gaylord Texan resort! We were so excited to go check out all the beautiful decorations and to see the Charlie Brown ICE exhibit.

But first, we decided to visit Santa. It's hard to squeeze 3 kiddos on his lap!

Then we headed over to the ICE exhibit. We bundled up in hats, gloves and parkas before we even went in. It's 9 degrees in there, so we wanted to be prepared for the cold!

They provide special parkas to put on over your own, too. Here are the boys all ready for the cold! Luke looked a bit like the Stay-Puft marshmallow man. :)

The theme this year is Charlie Brown, so we got to see the whole Peanuts gang carved out of ice!

Lukey was very upset that Charlie Brown was so sad. Look how tiny he looks!

And of course, the boys' favorite part was the ice slides. All 3 boys went up and down a couple of times before we just got too cold and had to get out of there!

We wandered around a bit more last night and enjoyed all the beautiful lights and decorations!

This morning, we explored a bit more! We saw some amazing toy trains and gingerbread houses, along with a few festive reindeer.

Then we had a really nice buffet breakfast. Luke loved it....I think he took at least one of every single item offered.

The Gaylord is such a beautiful place, and we really enjoyed our stay! What a great start to our winter break. Bring on Christmas!
