On February 11, 2010, it snowed in Dallas for the 4th time this winter. Unlike our other snowfalls, however, this time we got almost 10 inches of snow that really stuck!
Here's a view of our street.

The boys ended up with a snow day on the 12th (and we were without power for almost all of it!), so we really got to enjoy it.

We built snowmen.

And snow aliens.

We made snow angels.

Cody really worked hard on his. I think making this face helped.

And of course, we had a snowball fight or 7.

We tried playing snow basketball, but you can see we had a few problems.

And we collected fresh snow in bowls so we could make snow ice cream!

It was amazing to see everything so covered in white. Even with the cold and the power outtage, it was an incredible couple of days and the boys just LOVED it.

Wow! This inspires me to try to enjoy winter more. :) Looks like fun.
I have heard about snow ice cream, but is it really good?
Cody's snowman is awesome (the banana is the perfect touch as the snowman's mouth) & the snow alien is pretty scary! How do you make snow ice cream? Is it good guys?! You had more
fun than we did! I got so cold that I finally raided a plastic box deep in granDad's closet for gloves & sheep shearling ear muffs to go with my pink fluffy bathrobe & big blue socks then climbed into bed under two blankets& two duvets. Then I played Scrabble on my iphone & read by periscope light(battery driven!)
You guys got more snow than we did up in CT. We only had about 4-5 inches. I guess this year Dallas is the place to be for snow ;)
